Last Week in Springfield!

For our last week in Springfield we had to have some fun! We played baseball with Brian and his wife Kristen, and went to Steak n Shake for a little treat after!

 On Saturday, Lyndon was so awesome and took the evening off and we went to the Illinois State Fair – held in Springifield! Basically the coolest thing Springfield is home to! We enjoyed the petting zoo, games, rides, music and good bands everywhere, horse show, monster truck show, and tons of tasty fair food!!

Sunday we took as a day of rest and went to church, and caught up on some Drop Dead Diva episodes (the one TV show we both enjoy!)

Lyndon worked in Bloomington/Normal for his last week so we stayed up there for most of the week in a hotel. I finally ended my no sugar desserts! We went to Chili’s for a chocolate molten! And seriously the best treat known to this world! Lyndon tells me I acted druck because of all sugar!

We went to Red Lobster and their all you can eat shrimp with Brian who ate 100, Lyndon ate 80, and Ashley ate 0.

Yes we stayed in the lovely Motel 6 – police called when we first pulled up. Thrilling huh! I went on lots of runs and walks while Lyndon worked. And we saw the newest Ice Age movie, and I loved it! Living in motels is so fun, haha right… we used up more food giftcards to wendy’s and quiznos. But we had plenty of time to stop at the mall and by new tennis shoes J yay!

Will Lyndon miss putting all these in?

Our last Sunday we had a huge feast with Tyler and Tiff, and Mike Coons, and just cooked lots of food to get rid of it. The next day I packed up the house, while Lyndon worked. He got home at 1am and we loaded the car. We slept until 4 and started driving at 5! And drove to Denver! Hungout with Beau Winter for the night downtown and slept at his house! And left the next morning, only to learn that the air-conditioning in Lyndon’s car decided to not work! It wasn’t bad driving through the mountains, but once we hit the desert and it was 100 degrees outside, yeah not so friendly!!

Made it to St. George and got to Dylan’s football game. They were delayed for lightening so we got to see the ending. So happy to not be in the car and just enjoy being with my family again!
