March Madness!

March is already over . . . oh boy! Two more weeks and we will both officially be college graduates! It is crazy to think about, but we are both ready to move on! We will for sure miss having the beach so close, sunny breezy weather, having homework, the testing center, the library, and all of our lovely cockroach buddies! (just saying . . . i have killed 2! i was pretty proud of myself). These past two weeks have been super busy, having a test in every class and presenting my research project all in the same week! And Lyndon has been working from about 7am to 11pm most nights! It's weird not having him home, but its been a blessing having him working!

So I have a confession . . . I probably haven't finished a book (cover to cover) since about the 7th grade. But once I heard the Hunger Games was going to be a movie and all my brothers said it was "soo sick" I figured I had to read it. So I actually read it cover to cover. And the movie was amazing! We started out the night by going to my favorite restaurant Breakers where we celebrated Mike Bussio and Lyndon's birthday just a few weeks early!

Then we headed to our fun little Laie theater and basically felt like we were living in the games! Fun fun night!
We give many thanks to Prince Kuhio for allowing us to have a day off of school! Lexi and I spent the day at Waikiki! This was the first day I had spent the whole day at the beach in about 2 months! We had lots of naps and fun talking sessions! I love her!

Then it was back to another fun week of school! I finished all my lab reports and plenty of other essays. On Thursday, I did my last hike up to the burn site for my research project! And we had some good news! We have a baby!! And she is now planted in the school nursery! Isn't she so cute!?

One night we came home from the grocery story and we saw this little guy! They seriously don't die! Gross and creepy!
And Saturday night we went to the UH baseball game with our one big island happy family! They went into extra innings but were able to pull out a win! And we had our hawaii warrior dogs!
such a beautiful field! Its all turf!

Dinner = warrior dogs!
We love Mike and Nat!
It was a successful big happy family date night! Love them all!

St. Patty's Day!

What an insane month so far! We'll call this the month of rain! It seriously has rained so much! We've had games cancelled, rescheduled, cancelled, and so on basically all month. I guess its typical for when someone's parents come to watch games, they only get to see half of what they came to watch (Todd and Tracy have now had the experience)! With games cancelled and rescheduled we still managed to have some fun . . . Lyndon was able to go scuba diving, we hung out with the other Parry's and ate some delicious food, and of course I was able to get all school work done (at wee hours in the morning, I can't stay up late, but I can sure get up early!)

Watching some Asian Parade down in Waikiki!
complete with dragon and fireworks! Probably the best firework show i've ever seen!

Yeah we sneak into hot tubs when its raining . . . so what!
The new Disney hotel had this awesome mat thing in the ocean that we played on! We're thinking a new Lake Powell toy . . .

When we say it rains . . . we mean it. We had a huge thunder and lightening storm which woke us up . . . this is what we found!

Classrooms flood!

On Saturday the 10th, Lexi came over and we just had to make a treat and watch a movie! This is what we do best! Sugar free with home made cream cheese frosting!

Lyndon also makes the best Sunday dinners! I just want to add that I put together all of the sides! So I did participate in making the dinner! But it was delicious!

We got to play a few games on the Big Island this week! It's always fun to travel to games! And then the fun catches up when you look at your list of things to do this week with school and its not that fun anymore! But after this week . . . my senior research project is almost completely done! I present at the undergraduate research conference on Thursday the 22nd.

We also went and saw the Lorax this week! We both thought it was really cute! It made me want to sing and dance with all the people! We were also able to go and see the men's BYU volleyball team play the university of hawaii on st. patty's day! Lyndon would have been about average in height, but man could they all jump! It was really fun to watch! UH has some amazing facilities!

And of course we needed food, so we headed to Buffalo Wild Wings! I recommend the parmesan garlic!

Sorry this post is soo long, and there are a million pictures! But its my journal okay! We also learned that we are going to be going to Chicago this summer! Lyndon is going to be installing alarm systems with Vivint. He has been working with them this past week, but with solar systems and seems to be pretty happy so far. But we are both excited to be going to Chicago! It'll be a whole new adventure! I'm still working on finding a job with a hospital or a doctor there, to keep me busy. If anyone has any suggestions about what do to there let me know! All I know is there are baseball teams and good pizza!

Leap Year!

Since February 29th doesn't come around too often, I figured it would be kinda fun to blog today! The last half of this month has been full of excitement! Ok. . . excitement means lots of softball practicing, HOURS in the library (even on holidays!!!), taking tests, creating presentations, working on research projects, and trying to find time to sleep each night! I thought your last semester was supposed to be fun and a piece of cake! No one informed me that I would have to do 22 lab reports for one class and multiple writing assignments every week for others! What is this?! Oh yes. . . I chose this, it's furthering my education!

Part of my original research project includes examining my air layerings on the Ohia Lehua
Amongst all of the crazy school work we were able to go to the Piano Guys concert on the 17th and it was awesome! They put on a great show and were very entertaining the whole time! If you haven't heard any of their music I suggest you go to youtube and watch some of their videos!

Before the concert
After the concert
Don't worry I wasn't being impolite and having bad concert etiquette. . . they told us to take a picture of them and post in on facebook, I was simply doing what they asked!

We have had a few good rain storms this month (what? a rainy season too?) Yes, Hawaii isn't always sunny and beach weather everyday . . . but rain beats the snow any day! Last Saturday our field was actually flooded, so our games were cancelled. So we had some of the girls from the team over for dinner and a game night! Mom, you will be please to know we played a word game (although all my years of practice didn't help me that night) it was still lots of fun!

These pictures don't do the rain justice, but just so you have an idea I guess. . .

Lyndon recently decided that we needed to have a theme song for every day. So each morning a song is picked and it is played numerous times throughout the day. Yesterday was a song by the Black Eyed Peas and today was "Happily Ever After" by He Is We. We are in need of some new music (the radio is not really an option unless you like Hawaiian music all day every day), so if there are some good songs out there, send them are way!! Hey maybe they'll even get to be one of our theme songs!

After living in this apartment and looking at a big white wall for two months I decided that I was going to attempt being crafty on a budget. This is our newest decoration . . .

Well February was a pretty successful month, and it wasn't too bad having an extra day either! But come on April 14 come faster!
